Our History

Our story begins in 1888—serving Upstate New York in Syracuse as a masonry supplier—and from the very beginning, our commitment and passion for the community has been evident. We Helped Build Syracuse!

1888
Crucible Industries

An innovator in its own industry, Crucible became the life-blood of Syracuse in the 50s and 60s, and Paragon helped make it a house name. We take pride in having worked with a company whose roots in Syracuse run as deep as our own.

1920
Hendricks Chapel

A landmark on the Syracuse University campus, Hendricks Chapel was built with the help of Paragon Supply almost one hundred years ago, and we’ve been bleeding orange ever since.

1920
John T. Roberts School

A building known by many in the City of Syracuse, Paragon is fortunate to have played a large part in John T. Roberts’ construction. Knowing we helped build a school to further children’s education gives us great pride.

1928
Herald Building

We played a crucial part in creating the Syracuse Herald Building, and our company created the 400,000 sand-lime bricks used to construct the home of the Syracuse Herald.

1929
Syracuse Memorial Hospital

Truly a beacon of the Syracuse skyline, our achievement in working with Syracuse Memorial, now Crouse Hospital, inspires us, and we are reminded every day of what we have done, and still can do, when we look at the Syracuse skyline.

1934
Stacy Residence

Constructed in 1934 as a private residence for Mr. and Mrs. Parker Stacy, this house, and now retreat center, was once the largest private home in Syracuse, and Paragon helped get it there.
